Suspected herders kill16-year-old girl for resisting rape in Ekiti

Two men suspected to be herders have k!lled a 16-year-old girl after a failed rape attempt in Emure-Ekiti in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The incident happened on Sunday, February 9, 2025, when the girl and her brother were on their way to the farm.

The siblings were waylaid by two men but the brother escaped.

The teenage girl was k!lled for allegedly resisting attempts by the men to r3pe her.

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident to TVC News on Monday morning, February 10, said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the m8rder.

The PPRO added that he would release further details later.
