The University, according to the promoter, 5th Avenue City will begin academic activities by the first quarter of 2026 with plans to train students and open a partnership avenue for them, thereby making it a win-win institution for academic excellence and job creation.

Speaking during a technical meeting with stakeholders in Abeokuta Mr. Ogbiyele Olufemi who is the Chief Managing Director of Providence Financial Institutions disclosed that the objective of the institution is to correct some notions about the private university, which is why they are bringing students in developing agriculture and making them become agripreneur.

He posited that this is just like making a revolution in both the education sector and the agriculture sector.

Olufemi added that the innovation brought on board is not a normal routine in the education sector declaring that the university is not in competition but to change the people’s perspective on agriprenures.

According to him “5th Avenue City is a dimensional project that has three elements, education, agriculture, and real estate. Our objective is to correct some wrongs in the educational system, and we don’t want to go the normal routine of education systems in Nigeria that is why we are bringing in innovation to make sure that we have students who we can create a pathway for to begin to practice agribusiness and become agripreneur”.

“We want to make sure we raise entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector business, we are creating a revolution in both the education system and agriculture and to do this we need to integrate these people in a communal setting and that is why we are bringing estate them.

” The university is located on 300 acres of land. We are not in competition with any except for the private university that will come after the birth of our school, because we are coming with something new. We are confident that no institution is doing that. We are already looking at the future”
