As she continually witnessed attacks and constant harassment from some youths and community leaders, Mrs John Naomi Mitaire, the heartbroken woman has cried out for help.
Mrs John Naomi Mitaire has been facing series of untold hardship as some youths have continually harassed her over the discovery that her husband, Mr John Ereremi is a known bisexual who continually run away from prosecution, and this had led to series of attack on their former home at No, 126, Deinde Simplicity Amuwo Odofin Lagos, Nigeria.
Speaking to Journalists from her hide out in Mowe, Ogun State, Mrs Naomi said since her husband was caught engaging in same sex act sometimes in October, 2021, the family has been going from one crisis to another.
She recalled that on October 6th, 2021, her husband was caught engaging in same sex act with another man, Solomon Aribe, and after series of attempts to ensure that her husband submitted himsel to the community and law enforcement agency from prosecution, some hoodlums attack their home in Amuwo Odofin, which made his husband relocate her and four of her children to Mowe in Ogun state.
She lamented that in spite of the relocation, some of this youths, whenever they sees her at any public place, they will continue to harass her and called her all sorts of name.
She lamented that during the attack so many of their properties were destroyed and while they continue to suffer series of traumatic experience.
She said when the incident was very fresh, the youths invaded their home in Amuwo Odofin, they again attacked our house, they destroyed all the furnitures in the house, they started shooting sporadically, it took divine intervention for the family to escape the fury that day.
Mrs Naomi pleaded that the government should please save their lives saying that since the incident happened, her husband has gone into hiding, and while they continue to live in series of fears.
She added: “When my husband felt unsecured, he left the country for fear of being killed after he escaped an attack by suspected hoodlums, few months later, some hoodlums stormed our house demanding to see my husband, but I explained to them that he had travelled outside the country, yet, they did not believe me. They ransacked our house; I was harassed and badly beaten up alongside my Four children. They told me if they did not see my husband they would come back to kill us.
She continued: “Surprisingly, about 7.30 pm on January 16th, 2025, the hoodlums again came to our house in Mowe Ogun State, asking for my husband’s whereabouts. My children and I were beaten up with nobody coming to our rescue.
She said the incident was reported to the police, but nothing has been done till date despite the assurances by the police that they would get to the root of the matter.
The spokesman of Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, could not be reached for his comments on her mobile telephone number as at press time.
