Tinubu renames UniAbuja after Yakubu Gowon

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renaming of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) after the former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon.

The minister of information and national orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this after the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the President on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

It is now to be called The Yakubu Gowon University in honour of former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon subject to the approval of the National Assembly
