The Egba Heritage Forum has described the Lawmaker representing Yewa North II (Ketu) State Constituency Hon Haruna Egungbohun as an outstanding Lawmaker who has added a great value to lawmaking in the gateway State.
In a statement issued by the Coordinator of the Forum, Abayomi Arabambi dedcribes Hon Haruna Egungbohun as an astonishing and great Lawmaker who in spite of his youthful age has remained an inspiration to other Lawmaker and the youth generally
The Egba Heritage Forum, a socio political organization said recognizing and celebrating the positive contributions of young people to governance processes can inspire and motivate more youths to engage in civic activities.
The forum opined that the recognition can be done by “acknowledging and rewarding young leaders, innovators, and activists who are making a difference in their immediate communities.

“Hon Wahab Egungbohun a native of Yewa North Local Government , elected to represent the good people of Yewa North 2 (Ketu) State Constituency first in 2019 was the chairman house committee on environment and was again re elected in 2023 and currently the house committee chairman on health remains an outstanding achiever with unprecedented performance as a youth legislator ever in the history of ogun state
“Hon. Wahab Haruna Egungboun recently Moves a Motion For Reconstruction of Ebute-Igbooro/Benin Republic Road which the House of Assembly has passed via a resolution calling on the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Works to reconstruct the Ebute-Igbooro, / Oja-Odan/ Pobe International road connecting Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
“The passage of the resolution followed the adoption of a motion moved by the maverick undisputed and performing young star & Sponsor Hon Egungboun who is also a member representing Yewa North II State Constituency, seconded by Hon. Adegoke Adeyanju and supported by all the lawmakers through a voice vote.
“The youthful maverick assembly representative of Yewa North 2 (Ketu) State Constituency commended Governor Dapo Abiodun administration for its road infrastructural drive, saying that the international road was important to regional diplomacy as well as socio-economic benefits of the region.
“He explained further that the deplorable state of the Nigeria section of the road required a reconstruction, calling for immediate attention of the officials of the Federal Ministry of Works because the road serves as a gateway for tourism, international trade, and cross-border investments, fostering socio-economic ties and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
“It’s on records that the road is not only a critical economic corridor but an
enabler of regional diplomacy, tourism, and cross-border cultural exchanges which will promote international trade, support tourism-driving revenue, and attracting foreign and local investments to Ogun State and beyond a testimony of the undisputed and unprecedented performance of the outstanding Hon Haruna Egungboun
“Other lawmakers who corroborated the motion included Honourables Adegoke Adeyanju, Olakunle Sobukanla and Adebisi Oyedele where they all acknowledged the commendable efforts of Governor Dapo Abiodun for the numerous road projects undertaken across the State to enhance connectivity and socio-economic development, while they also appreciate the commendable efforts of the Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan for championing road construction and rehabilitation projects aimed at easing socio-economic challenges within the Senatorial District.
“This is Youth O”Clock. If you will agree with me.It is so apparent that the youth constitutes the largest number of voters. Who says you cannot also be voted for? Who says you are too young to be there?
“I am reminded with the wisdom of “Emile Dunkhein” who opined that our destinies are in the hands of God, but the destination to getting to that destiny is in our hands.
