The All Proggressives Congress Political Party in Ekiti State today received a massive boost as it recieved into its fold a reowned female political icon Erelu Elebute Kemi Halle who led over 7000 members of her former party ADP into the All Progressives Congress political Party.

Engineer Elebute Halle contested the apex political seat in the state in the 2022 gubernatorial election in Ekiti state where she contested on the platform of the ADP.


Her performance in the election, commitment to humanitarian cause and intelligence caught the attention of the state Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji who did not waste time in sending across the olive branch to her fold.

The event which took place at the Ekiti Parapo pavilion in Ado Ekiti witnessed a massive turn out of former ADP members who accompanied the former guner aspirant as she journeyed into a new political family.

Welcoming Erelu Halle into the APC, the state chairman of the party Barrister Sola Elesin said Elebute’s entrance marks a new dispensation in Ekiti politics as she is a forthright politician.
“Erelu joining APC Party in Ekiti today is not by accident. And even before this time her actions proves that she is one of the party, it is therefore no surprise that she has now decided to come home”


Barrirster Elesin said the ideas of Eng. Elebute Halle is synonymous to that of the personality of the Governor of Ekiti state and such warranted that a special personality like Elebute Halle is welcomed into the party.

Speaking after accepting the symbol of the party from Barrister Elesin and the representatives of the National Chairman of the party Senator Abdullahi Ganduje Erelu Kemi Halle said she was motivated by the good works of Governor Abidoun Abayomi Oyebanji, who continues to identify with her even the guber elections in the state.

“I feel very elated to join the folds of the progressives today. I share the same vision and mission with his Excellency and that is why when consultations were held within our fold my supporters, members of my former party ADP and even some prominent figures in the APC already welcome me into the party before this official declaration.”
Erelu Elebute Halle maintained that her choice to serve the people of the state prompted her to come into the progressives so as to be able to serve the people better.


She specially thanked her husband, Chief Halle,


Erelu Elebute Halle said while she will continue to carry on her humanitarian services, she will also not relent in her efforts to further carry the banner of BAO and the APC very high everywhere she goes.


The event was spiced with the distribution of palliatives and cash worth 3 million naira to beneficiaries across the sixteen local governments of the state.
