Rivers LG Poll: Voting commences amid fears of disruptions

The election process has officially begun in Etche Local Government Area, Rivers State.

Voting is proceeding smoothly at Ward 6, Unit 10 in Egwi-Etche, despite earlier concerns about potential disruptions.

While there were apprehensions about security, a limited presence of personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, was observed at the polling unit.

Voters have, however, been casting their ballots peacefully.
