Ahead of the November 16, 2024 local government elections in Ogun State, a frontline Chairmanship contender under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Musiliu Akindele has assured that his administration will run an open door policy if given the mandate to fly the Party flag during the poll.
Akindele who was speaking with some market men and women and farmers at Alagbagba ward during a consultation meeting over the weekend said he possesses all the qualities needed to run Odeda local government successfully.
Hon Musiliu Akindele who remains a very strong contender for the Odeda Local Government Chairmanship position under the All Progressives Congress vowed to move his local government forward targeting the welfare of his people.
Other areas of concentration according to him will include youth empowerment infrastructural development as well as discovering the hidden potentials with a view to making the area self sufficient and home for all.
He said his plans and passion for development of Odeda local government which is purely agrarian community will rapidly transform the local government to remain as the food basket of the State.
“I am progressive in nature; when I become the council chairman, I will be busy developing the Council area with premium attention on farmers, market women and youths.
“I believe my vision and plans for development will be of the interest of the people and especially, to work with our amiable Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in the transformation of the rural areas, thereby reduce rural urban drift.
Hon. Akindele said that health, education, empowerment and social development would be his priority if elected.
According to him, hundreds of youths will be engaged in various work sectors in Odeda LGA, including agriculture and other allied matters to provide food security.
“Fortunately, Our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun have started the process of transforming the rural areas, we shall join hands with his Excellency in making rural areas attractive to the Youths.
