The Seventh in the series of the SixthSense Summer Reading Camp Initiative of Abiodun Lasile, Founder and Coordinator is set to honour two distinguished Nigerians during the five days Summer camp

This was disclosed at the opening of the camp officially on Sunday 4th of August 2024 at the Baptist Girls College, Idi Aba Abeokuta.

Founder/Coordinator, The SixthSense Initiative said On August 8th, the camp will host its official party day, celebrating two distinguished individuals who have supported the initiative: HRM Oba Prof Saka Matemilola FNSE Otileta VII Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta and Nobel Laureate Professor Akinwande Oluwole Soyinka, who serves as the camp’s ambassador.

Wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, was announced to be the Special Guest of Honour, also an Ambassador of the project .

The camp aims to promote a love for reading among children and provide a supportive environment for them to develop their literacy skills.

This year’s edition has attracted a large number of participants, and the organisers are thrilled with the enthusiasm and engagement shown by the children so far.

The celebration will also feature various activities, including readings, performances, and awards.

“This Thursday, August 8th, the camp will host its official party day, celebrating two distinguished individuals who have supported the initiative: HRM Oba Prof Saka Matemilola FNSE Otileta VII Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta and Nobel Laureate Professor Akinwande Oluwole Soyinka, who serves as the camp’s ambassador. Her Excellency Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, will be the Special Guest of Honour, another Ambassador.

“The celebration will feature various activities, including readings, performances, and awards. All guests are invited to join the celebration, which will commence at 2:45 pm.
