A middle-aged woman was brutally murdered by an unknown person in a hotel in Sokoto State.
A spokesperson for the State Police Command, ASP Ahmed Rufai, who confirmed the incident to Punch on Friday, May 24, 2024, said the mother of four was found dead with a slit throat in the toilet of the hotel room.
The PPRO said the police have commenced an investigation and have gathered useful information from documents the suspect left in the hotel room.
“We have commenced an investigation into the incident, as we are able to gather some useful information from documents the alleged killer left in the room and his information at the reception, ”he said.
“We will update the press on our investigation as it goes on but for now, we are on it.”
Sources close to the deceased said the victim was a divorcee who occasionally visited the hotel
