Benue Varsity Lecturers suspends strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Benue State University Branch, Makurdi has suspended its strike.
A statement made available to Salient times on Wednesday by the registrar of the university Dr Mrs Mfaga Modom referred undergraduate students to resumed with immediate effect.
She however informed that lectures would commence on Thursday, while examination will begin on 20th of this month.
The students were advised to prepare themselves for serious academic exercise as examinations are just week from now.
It further noted another session in no distance future we shall approaching different activities entirely.
An insider in the varsity names withheld disclosure the strike effect on 1st February 2024 due non payment of allowances.
Other demands includes clearance of salaries Indebted by the management to the Lecturers as well as other expenses
