Renewed hostilities resulting to the killings on Thursday occasioned by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Mbalom in Gwer West where seven persons reportedly killed in Benue State

A source who witnessed the incident and preferred to remained anonymous told our correspondent in a telephone conversation on Friday in Makurdi, insisted it was claimed the herders also visited mayhem at mbaikyor all in the same LGA at different times in the Council.

When Contacted caretaker committee Chairman Mrs Comfort Agbo has confirmed fifteen people were killed by the suspected Fulani herdsmen rampaging at various affected communities in her council.

She lamented that at least three times at various occasioned herders wrecked havoc resulting to destruction and several loss of  lives in the counci.

The council Chairman restated the efforts demonstrated by Governor Hyacinth Alia towards ensuring amicable resolutions the impasse.

Governor Hyacinth Alia has enjoined the families of beloved ones who were killed in the uprising to take solace as efforts are being intensified to ensure total elimination herders in the State.

Similarly just few days ago, some natives in Kwande were killed in likesome manner there .

When Contacted on the incident Benue Police Public relations officer PPRO Superintendent Catherine Anene said she is yet to receive brief on the development.
