The Yobe State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a 42-year-old woman identified as Ammi Adamu Mamman by yet to be identified persons

The woman was found dead with a deep cut on her neck at her residence at Bra Bra Housing Estate in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, said in a statement on Friday that the State Criminal Investigation Department had commenced investigation to fish out the culprits.

According to the statement, the woman’s husband, Abubakar Musa, 43, of New Bra Bra Housing Estate bye-pass, Maiduguri road, in Damaturu, was sleeping on the same bed beside her when the incident happened.

The statement added that the husband was arrested for interrogation.

“Finding revealed that the couple are staff of the Yobe State University (YSU) Damaturu.

“The Command condoled with the bereaved families as efforts are intensified to unravel and arrest the perpetrators,” the statement said.
