I divorced Ighalo without his consent in 2022, says estranged wife
Sonia Adesuwa, the estranged wife of Odion Ighalo, says she divorced him without his consent in 2022.
The Nigerian footballer tied the knot with Adesuwa in 2009. They have three children — two boys and a girl.
In a recent post via her Instastory, Adesuwa said their marriage ended in 2019 but they reconciled two years later.
She said the 34-year-old Al Wehda FC player has been “fooling with different women” but she decided to be with him “lowkey”.
Adesuwa said she eventually “got tired” because Ighalo did not inform his family of their reconciliation.
“Separated 2019, got back 2021. I divorced him 2022 without his signature,” she said.
“He crawled back again I said okay for the sake of our children. We have been doing it lowkey despite his foolish display on Instagram with different women.
“I was doing Saudi, Dubai, Naija with the kids to see him but he did not want his family to know because they would reinforce spiritually to separate us, he said.
“I got tired. Since he was scared to let Mama Mama know I am happily back with my family.
I am like f*ck off bro.
“I no fit break covenant wey I no de there him enter. Good luck to my successor.”
Adesuwa had previously claimed Ighalo cheated on her with a BBNaija female celebrity, a Nollywood actress, and a disc jockey (DJ).
She argued that the footballer has not moved on but still desires reconciliation despite their split.
