500 level student shot dead, others injured as shooting breaks out in UNIBEN (video)
A 500-level student of the University of Benin has reportedly been shot dead.
Two other students were also shot and injured in the attack which took place on Friday evening, Oct. 27, in the institution. Their condition is currently unknown
According to online reports, a fight began at Ekiadolor days ago and culminated in today’s shootings in UNIBEN.
Some claim it is a cult clash and the shooters are cultists.
A video shared online shows a red car with bullet holes. The body of a man was removed from the car and taken to the back of a pick-up van where he was deposited.
Horrified students gathered at the scene and stared in shock.
Bullet casings can be seen on the floor and also drops of blood. A man’s face cap can also be seen abandoned on the floor at the scene.
Other students who were injured during the clash have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share photos of their injuries.
