Yul Edochie, the Nigerian actor, says he believes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will wipe the tears of Nigerians.

On May 29, Tinubu became the 16th president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The former Lagos governor succeeded Muhammadu Buhari after he was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

On Wednesday, Edochie took to his Instagram page to share a picture of the president.

In an accompanying caption, the actor conveyed his prayers for Tinubu’s long life and good health to enable him to implement his plans for the country.

He said he believes the president will “wipe the tears of Nigerians and make the country great again”.

He also extended his best wishes to the president.

“I will keep praying for you sir @officialasiwajubat for God to give you long life and good health to deliver the good plans you have for Nigeria,” he wrote.

“Nigerians have suffered so much and I believe you will wipe the tears and make Nigeria great again. Best of luck mr. president. The Jagaban.”

In 2021, Yul announced his interest to run for the presidency of Nigeria.

Prior to his presidential bid, he had contested the Anambra state governorship election in 2017 under the flag of the Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC) but lost after securing only 145 votes.
