Hilda Baci, the Nigerian chef, has finally received a plaque certifying her recent feat from the Guinness World Records (GWR).

The excited chef announced this in a video shared via her social media pages on Monday.

The footage shows Baci collecting the plaque, concealed inside a box, from delivery agents at her house.

The chef, however, revealed that she would not be unveiling the box yet.

“Our plaque is here”, she wrote in a terse post accompanying the video.

Last week, the GWR certified Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The organisation said the chef achieved the feat with 93 hours and 11 minutes cooking stint.

“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes,” the post reads.

“Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.”

The development comes amid plans by Damilola Adeparusi, the Nigerian chef, to embark on 150-hour cooking marathon to set a new record.
