A National Diploma student of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, identified as Dasola, was on Wednesday allegedly hacked to death.

Her lifeless body was found in her room around the Ile Idibo area, Eruwa with machete cuts and eyes detached from the head.

The deceased was among those writing the ongoing first-semester examination in the school.

It was gathered that a friend, her coursemate, who did not see her around to sit for the examination, went to her house and found her door locked from the outside suggesting that no one was inside the room.

Some of her neighbours were perceiving a terrible odour and peeped through her window to find her body lying lifeless.

They were said to have raised the alarm, which attracted attention from those around at that point.

The body of the lady was deposited at the General Hospital, Eruwa.

The management of the school was alerted and hurriedly suspended the ongoing examination for a day as a sign of respect for the deceased.

The Eruwa Police Division was said to have been informed and arranged for the evacuation of the corpse from the room.

The investigation was said to have commenced as two of the deceased housemates were being quizzed by the police.
