The Albion Foundation (TAF Africa) has commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for being the first party to produce an Albion governor, not only in Nigeria but the whole of Africa.

It would be recalled that Pastor Umo Eno, an albion, was on March 19, declared governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State.

The Chairman, PAF Africa Jake Epelle, during a courtesy call on the leadership of PDP, urged the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to emulate the inclusiveness policy of the PDP.

Epelle said the foundation identified with Pastor Eno and the PDP for winning the Akwa Ibom State governorship election, but regretted that Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi, who is another person with disability (PWD), who contested Niger State governorship on PDP platform, failed to win.

Epelle also commended PDP for its level of inclusiveness given to women and youths, and invited the party’s acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum to TAF Africa conference, which will hold in Abuja on May 18.

Ambassador Damagum assured that PDP would continue to respect the rights of women and persons with disabilities, and include them in its policies to achieve their political ambitions.
