Adebutu’s endorsement: ADP distances self from IPAC, says the Party won’t identify with failures

The Ogun State chapter of Action Democratic Party (ADP), has distanced itself from the purported Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) endorsing the candidature of Hon Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for March 11 governorship election.

While addressing newsmen on Friday in Abeokuta, the Chairperson of the party, Yeye (Amb) Oluwafunke Olanrewaju  frowned at what she called a mischievous attempt of IPAC to discredit the ADP by aligning the party with “failures”.

She said that at no time did ADP enter into a coalition with any political party to endorse Adebutu.

She said that the ADP was a complete opposite of the PDP, even as she denied any political romance with the APC, but was committed to providing a credible alternative and ensuring free and fair elections

She said: “We want to make it clear that ADP has never form alliance with any political party, let alone endorse Adebutu for March 11 elections. Media reports that we did so is false and misleading as ADP does not share anything in common with PDP, because light has nothing in common with darkness.

“Those responsible for the false information should tender an unresolved apology to ADP and retract the false publications

Amb Oluwafunke Olanrewaju said “Our party is here to provide a credible alternative and not align with failed politicians.”
