Tribunal fixes date to deliver judgment in Osun governorship poll dispute

The Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has fixed January 27, 2023 to deliver judgment in the case between former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Oyetola, of the All Progressives Congress, had dragged Adeleke before the Tribunal over the July 16, 2022 election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the poll.

The Tribunal had after taking the written address of the parties in the suit said it would inform them of a date for the judgment.

A terse statement on Tuesday said the Tribunal had fixed judgement for January 27, 2023 at 9am.

The case was filed by Oyetola and the APC against Adeleke, PDP and INEC.
