Reacting to the development, the Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi Oluwafemi Arabambi said the mistake is very costly as there is divided loyalty with the newly appointed Director General.

He said the appointment of Akin Oshuntokun as Peter Obi Campaign Director General is wrong and advise Oshuntokun to honourably resign from the position.

He said Zenith Labour Party and the Labour Party which Obi is the Presidential Candidate have different ideology and can not have a Director General even if  ZLP has no presidential candidate.

His words, “In my capacity as the National Publicity Secretary of Labour party, I am opposing the announcement of Prof Akin Osuntokun as the DG Labour party campaign organizations because at present he is the Senatorial candidate of Zenith Labour Party ZLP EKITI STATE in the Feb 25th 2023 National Assembly election.

“The National Chairman Bar Julius ABURE by this act has compromise the victory of Labour party and this political rascality will not stand.

All efforts by Our Correspondent to get reactions from Prof Oshuntokun proved abortive and efforts to speak with the National Chairman of Labour Party was unsuccessful as calls put across to him were unanswered.
