Ogun ADP inaugurates campaign committee Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election

Ogun State chapter of Action Democratic Party (ADP) has inaugurated its campaign committee to work out modalities on how to win the 2023 general elections and address other issues affecting the polls.

The State Chairperson of the Party in the State, Ambassador Yeye Olufunke Olanrewaju who named the committee members gave them a marching order to ensure that the party wins the March 2023 governorship election.

She said the Party would win all contested positions in the forthcoming general elections against all odds.

“The courage and doggedness that American colonies had to fight Britain, is the spirit ADP and our members in Ogun State will have to develop to win the election.

“Ogun has produced great Nigerians, and the programmes of the ADP will bring about the change Ogun residents are craving for

Also speaking, the Governorship candidate of ADP, Chief Olanrewaju Kazeem Sokunbi lamented the state of Ogun state economy.


He urged Ogun residents to have faith and be patient with humility for the next government, which he expressed optimism would be an ADP-led administration.

Reading out the party’s programme, Sokunbi said ADP will pursue eight point agenda among others to include

1. Adult/Girl child education

2. Soft loan for market women and market Men.

3. Total Health care and reduction of birth mortality.

4. Food via local government based agricultural projects and reduction of food Prices .

5. Road construction project from rural to urban cum urban development:
Total Rehabilitation of Borders Towns Roads

6. Vocational/Technical skills cum empowerment for the youth.

7. Modern Day security techniques for the state.

8. Care for the aged, the physically challenged, community heads, Pensional s and the obas,Bales in the state.

He advised the current All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in the State to start preparing thier handing over note as ADP is ready to take over governance come May, 2023.

Sokunbi further stated that the Ogun state government house is vacant and would be occupied after the 2023 governorship  election adding that the APC has failed the state and the ADP are out for a rescue mission.

He however, urged the party faithfuls to vote all the candidates of the party starting with the governorship candidate down to the state house of assembly members.

He said the choice of the party to choose eminent personalities to spear head the campaign council is to send a signal to the rulling party that the ADP are ready for 2023 and would defend the mandate if elected.

“Vote us to power because the APC has failed in Ogun State and Ogun State have moved  backwards in the last 12 years of APC misrule.” He added.
