Youths Protest Alleged Involvement Of Two Friends In Same Sex
Irate Youths in Ikoyi ,a community in Ikere,Ekiti State yesterday trooped to the streets in their hundreds ,protesting the involvement of a resident of the area in alleged bi sexual activities.
The aggrieved youths who looked disturbed as they called for justice ,accused a resident who they refer to as Olamide, son of a Clergy in the area of sexual affairs with no fewer than four men before the lead of his nefarious activities finally blew open.
“We have heard of how Uncle Olamide got indulged in bi sexual activities for years,unchallenged ,not minding whose ox was gored and we felt now is the time for us to react” Leader of the protesting youths, Okikiola Tomori submitted with concern.
The protest by the youths , came barely two days after some suspected cultists and plain clothe security operatives with guns and other dangerous weapons stormed the
residence of Olamide whose father,Osomode had been in the forefront of fight against crime and other vices in the community,calling for his head .
It was learnt that Olamide was caught in the act when the landlord of his friend ,one Sunday
Emmanuel videoed them as the y made love with each .It was also gathered that the recorded video had stirred controversies,as the Police are currently relying on the. video in their investigations.
“This man has refused to jettison all his bad habits and toe the line of respect and decency ,hence our decision to embark on this protest which is aimed at attacking everything and anyone linked to this shameless and stupid man” the leader of the youths further posited.
The entire community was engulfed by confusion ,as the youths resisted all appeals by elders of the area for a truce.
The presence of fierce looking security agents in the trouble gave impetus to the agitation by the youths, who were hell bent on destroying the property in the apartment abandoned by Olamide when he moved out of the community as news reached him that youths in the area were planning to either kill or maim him for his involvement in samesex
“No surrender ,no retreat until we get Osomode Olamide to face the music for his Ignoble act and if the Police fail to handle the matter to our satisfaction,then we shall have no other option than to embark on more aggressive protest which may lead to loss of lives “the leader of the youths warned.
