The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 headquarters Yenagoa, AIG Johnson Oluwole Adenola psc received a formidable delegation of the Bayelsa and Rivers States chapter Executives of the National Freight Hauliers Association (NFHA) (High Chief Asari Kerry and Mr Geoffrey Emmanuel chairmen of Bayelsa and Rivers chapter respectively) in his office at Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa.
The respective Chairmen, while speaking states the purpose of their visit is to familiarize and identify themselves with the AIG of their existence and operations whose association is capable of creating job and wealth opportunities for citizens, strengthening the political and sociocultural sector, generates income revenue to boost the state economy and national building as well as reducing multiple taxation.
The AIG in his response thanked them all for finding it necessary to visit and familiarize with the Zone. He stated further that the Police works for every sector of the society, hence the Zone is open for all. He also advised them to operate within the confine of the law. They are standing on dual capacity, as members of its Association and leaders in their various communities, hence encouraging them to also intimate and educate members of their communities the relevancy and its productiveness of their association. The AIG concluded by advising them to strategize their mode of collecting the tax in other not to cause chaos and nuisance to transporters and road users.
