From Kenechukwu Obiajuru, Yenagoa

A transformation strategist, Akinlabi Alabi, has challenged Christians to imitators of God who was a creator, saying that God has deposited in man all he needs to make the world a better place.

Alabi urged Christians to emulate God’s example, citing Genesis Chapter One, where God created a better condition despite darkness and void.

He encouraged Christians to be solution providers, building capacity to address challenges and create positive change

Alabi made this known during a programme, “Becoming Catalytic Co-creators for South South Growth and Development with the theme: Mechanics of Purpose,” aims to equip Christians with faith-based principles to drive positive change in their communities.

He stated that the programme, organised by Soar and Heritage International Organisations in conjunction with Tower of Mercy and Power Ministry, targets Christians, providing them with information and tools to make informed decisions and optimise their decision-making processes.

He noted that the programme also seeks to make people aware that information is key to driving growth and development, and that they have the capacity to create change in their communities. “The core goal is to make people aware that information drives the world, and that they need quality information to make decisions,” he said.

Alabi identified challenges people face, including letting go of old information and executing new ideas and emphasized the importance of support systems to help individuals activate new information and change their reality.

The programme focuses on the mechanics of purpose, aiming to help people become value creators for the growth and development of the South South region, emphasizing that human beings, not spirits, drive change in society.
